Education

Educational History:

I graduated from Parkwood High School in North Carolina. This will be my 17th year teaching.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Master’s in Elementary Education.

I have a B.S. in Psychology from Appalachian State University.

I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Education-Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction. 

I’ve been a part of the Paris Special School District for the past 9 years. My prior teaching experience was in North Carolina.

Family Information:

Hi! My Name is Mrs. Denise Outen! I live in Como, Tennessee on a small cattle farm with my husband Brian, and our two dogs. We were married in 1990 and  have a son who is 30 years old that attended Murray State University and a daughter who is 24 years old  attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville and is now completing her 3rd year of medical school. 

Personal Information:

I enjoy running, studying the Bible, and being with friends and family.
