1.    Teacher completes parts A and B of the TEAM Rubric.  Click here to view and/or print the rubric.  See the professionalism rubric here.Teachers should meet with their grade levels to discuss the rubric and identify potential evidences.

Teacher submits the Reflection and Growth Plan to the principal or lead evaluator on his or her specified due date.

  1. Principal or lead evaluator reviews parts A and B of the Refection and Growth Plan that the teacher has submitted, then comments on part B and returns to teacher.
  2. Teacher completes part C of the Reflection and Growth Plan.
  3. Teacher and principal or lead evaluator meet to review the Reflection and Growth Plan.
  4. Teacher Reflection and Growth Plan is submitted by principal or lead evaluator for the summative observation.
  5. Principal and the second designated observer will complete an observation using the walk-through rubric for Stage 2 teachers.

7.  Teacher will have a minimum of two 30 minute unannounced walk-through observations throughout the school year.  (One walk-through observation will be completed each semester.)

  1. Each time a teacher is observed, the principal or lead evaluator will submit the observation information to the teacher via One Note in the "walk through" tab. The teacher will have the opportunity to respond and provide additional evidences a needed. The principal or lead evaluator will request additional evidence (if needed) within 24 hours.  This allows for feedback to be provided to the teacher within 5 days.
Here are links to documents that you might want to review. They are also listed in your One Note Content Library. You do not fill these out, but your coach and your principal will be using these to record notes and evidence on your teaching:

9. Throughout the year, teacher will use the Individual Professional Development Log of Activities on One Note to keep a log of all PD activities throughout the school year that support your growth plan.  Your principal will give you a deadline (probably in March) to finalize and submit the log.

(Optional: Principal may opt for an additional observation to gather additional evidence or may have a 30-minute teacher interview.)

10. At the end of the process, the principal will review all evidence of effectiveness and ensure the process has been followed.  The principal and designated evaluator will complete the Summative Evaluation Form which includes an overall qualitative proficiency level, a quantitative score and recommended stage for next year. The principal will document the teacher’s overall effectiveness rating (1-5).

11. The principal will hold a summative conference with the teacher.

TIGER is a living document and a formative assessment process. The process could be modified from year to year to better suit the needs of all parties involved.

The steps above are correct as of August 2019. Thank you for your understanding.
